"I'VE NEVER" is about touch -- bringing someone close while also pushing them away as llustrated by Tai Chi push hands. The base text examines a graphic description of a racist sexualization of the black and white female bodies by Anais Nin and an academic paper written about the late 19th century grotesque sexual stereotyping of the black female body, particularly the "hottentot venus." Simultaneously, the spoken poems which surround this text speaks of an experience of dealing with being the other as two bodies grapple with their mutual attraction.
